Working Arrangement: Hybrid – Work from Home Available. Attendance required at events, meetings and operational activities as necessary.
Salary: €35,000–€40,000 DOE + 3% Commission on Gross Profit Generated through JR Sports Sales
Contract: Full-Time Permanent
Weekend Work: Essential (Event Weekends)

Alongside our events portfolio, JR Sports supplies sports equipment, race infrastructure, timing solutions and event services to clubs, schools and organisations throughout Ireland.
We are seeking an ambitious and highly organised Events & Business Development Manager to play a key role in growing both divisions of the business.
The Role
This is a hands-on management position responsible for the planning, delivery and growth of the JustRace event portfolio while also supporting the growth of JR Sports through proactive sales and relationship management.
The successful candidate will become a key member of the team and will be responsible for ensuring events are delivered to the highest standards while identifying and securing new sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Event Management
Manage the planning and delivery of all JustRace events.
Coordinate event timelines, logistics and operational plans.
Liaise with local authorities, Gardaí, emergency services and stakeholders.
Manage suppliers, contractors and event infrastructure.
Recruit and coordinate volunteers and event staff.
Oversee race registrations and participant communications.
Support sponsorship activation and partner relationships.
Prepare event reports, budgets and post-event evaluations.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
Attend and manage race-day operations.
Support the continued growth and development of the JustRace event portfolio.
Sales & Business Development (JR Sports)
Generate new sales opportunities for JR Sports.
Build relationships with schools, clubs, local authorities and event organisers.
Follow up sales leads and prepare quotations.
Promote sports equipment, timing services and event infrastructure solutions.
Develop repeat business opportunities.
Attend networking events, industry exhibitions and customer meetings.
Maintain and update CRM and sales records.
Work towards agreed sales and profitability targets.
Essential Requirements
Strong organisational and project management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Full clean driving licence and access to transport.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and online systems.
Willingness to travel throughout Ireland when required.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends during event season.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Desirable Experience
Event management experience.
Sports industry experience.
Sales or business development experience.
Experience working with clubs, schools or community organisations.
Understanding of endurance events and race organisation.
Experience managing suppliers, volunteers and operational teams.
What Success Looks Like
Within 12 months you will:
Successfully manage the delivery of the JustRace event portfolio.
Improve operational efficiency across all events.
Generate new business and sales growth for JR Sports.
Build strong relationships with clubs, schools and event partners.
Take ownership of event delivery and operational planning.
Become a key contributor to the future growth of JustRace and JR Sports.
Package
Salary: €35,000–€40,000 per annum.
3% commission on gross profit generated from JR Sports sales secured by the employee.
